Advance voting in Vancouver's 2026 civic election continues today, with polls open from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at 59 voting places across the city.

Today is the second of four advance-voting days, following October 3 and ahead of October 10 and 13. Election day is Saturday, October 17.

Voters are choosing one mayor, 10 city councillors, seven park board commissioners and nine school trustees. The ballot also carries three capital-plan borrowing questions totalling $790 million and two non-binding public-safety plebiscite questions — one on public hard drug use and one on a secure medical facility for involuntary mental health and addictions care.

The civic vote comes as British Columbians also prepare for a snap provincial general election on October 24, making this one of the busiest election seasons in the province's recent history.
