beabadoobee brings The Powerlines Tour to Scotiabank Arena tonight — Wednesday, October 7 — for what stands as her biggest Toronto headline show to date, with showtime at 7 p.m.
The Filipino-British singer born Beatrice Laus has scaled up relentlessly from lo-fi bedroom recordings and the viral spread of “Coffee” to UK No. 1 albums. The Powerlines Tour, her first full arena run, supports her fourth album Pylon, released September 18 via Dirty Hit and Interscope, with Gen Z shoegazers Wisp opening the North American leg.
Toronto is the fifth stop of the North American run, which opened October 1 in Uncasville, Connecticut, and hit Madison Square Garden on October 5. Tomorrow the tour crosses to Place Bell in Laval, Quebec, before winding through the U.S. — including the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on October 21 — and on to London’s O2 on November 18.
Expect a set spanning the catalogue: the scuzzy grunge-pop of Fake It Flowers, the dreamier Beatopia and This Is How Tomorrow Moves, and the spikier new Pylon material. Check the arena listing for remaining ticket availability.
