The Los Angeles Dodgers are headed back to the National League Championship Series. Wednesday's 4-1 win over the Atlanta Braves closed out the NL Division Series 3-1, setting up an NLCS date with the Milwaukee Brewers — a rematch of last year's series — starting Sunday, October 11, in Milwaukee.
The Dodgers' win capped a wild Wednesday that also saw the Tampa Bay Rays complete a three-game sweep of the New York Yankees and the Brewers eliminate the San Diego Padres. Three of the four League Championship Series berths are now decided, with the matchups set for a heavyweight October.
In the American League, the Cleveland Guardians refused to go quietly. Their 9-3 rout of the Chicago White Sox on Wednesday forces a decisive Game 4 on Thursday night at 8 p.m. ET in Chicago, with the White Sox leading the series 2-1. The winner meets the Rays in the ALCS starting Monday, October 12.
