Peel Regional Police say three people are facing charges in connection with a Mississauga home invasion last month in which shots were fired inside a home. The charges were announced on Friday, October 16.
The break-in happened at about 2:50 a.m. on September 2 at a residence in the area of Ninth Line and Tacc Drive, south of Argentia Road. Police allege three suspects forced their way into the home while it was occupied.
Shots were fired inside the residence during the incident. The occupants were not physically injured and the suspects left without taking any property, police said — a combination that often leads investigators to consider whether an address was targeted in error, though police have not said that in this case.
The investigation was led by Peel's 11 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau. Police have not released the full charge list in the initial announcement and the investigation remains a matter for the courts; anyone with information is typically asked to contact the division or Crime Stoppers.
