Contigo Mobility Inc. said on Wednesday it is advancing development of the Contigo C3, a Canadian-developed compact electric vehicle platform aimed at urban mobility, shared fleets and international export markets. The company made the announcement from Toronto on October 14, 2026.

The C3 is being built as a modular platform, designed to support a Canadian low-speed vehicle configuration alongside European L6e and L7e variants, so several regulatory categories can be served from one common architecture. Contigo says it is working with a Canadian turnkey automotive engineering and manufacturing partner that will support the program from engineering and prototypes through testing, industrialization and manufacturing.

The company says it is also engaging Canadian technology, automotive, research and supply-chain firms to increase domestic participation in the program. Its global head of engineering, Hakimie, said the C3 is being engineered as a global platform from day one rather than as a vehicle for a single market.

Contigo says it has identified demand and opportunities through its operations and commercial relationships in Europe, the United Kingdom, the United States and South America, as Canada-Europe industrial ties deepen.
