Fujitsu has launched a trial environment for retail-focused AI agents, announcing that four agents — covering sales structure analysis, customer loyalty analysis, sales planning and store manager support — will begin phased demonstration experiments at seven retail companies starting today.
The trial also includes an execution platform designed to advance store operations and business decision-making. Fujitsu said the full commercial launch is scheduled for June 2027, with additional agents to follow.
The move is part of a broader race among enterprise technology giants to bring agentic AI into frontline retail operations, where retailers are hunting for tools that can turn sales data into faster, sharper decisions.
