A Toronto Transit Commission streetcar collided with a vehicle on Friday afternoon near the intersection of Dufferin Street and King Street West, in the city's west end. Images from the scene showed the streetcar stopped at the intersection with emergency vehicles nearby.

Toronto Fire Services responded to the crash, and early reports from the scene indicated no injuries had been reported. The circumstances that led to the collision had not been released as of Friday evening.

The crash added to an already busy Friday commute in the King West corridor, a stretch where streetcars, delivery vehicles and turning traffic share tight lanes through one of Toronto's most congested entertainment and residential districts.

Police and transit officials typically review on-board and intersection camera footage after collisions involving streetcars. Riders were advised to expect delays and to check TTC service alerts for replacement buses and diversions while the intersection cleared.
