Toronto police say a third person is now in custody in a months-long retail theft investigation that swept through stores across the city. Officers allege a group carried out thefts at multiple Toronto retail locations between January 14 and October 11, 2026, racking up combined losses of $35,606.80.
The newest arrest came Saturday, when Evan Douglas-Fish, 28, of Toronto, was taken into custody and charged with 12 counts of theft under $5,000, four counts of disguise with intent, failure to attend court, obstructing a peace officer and personation with intent to avoid arrest. He was scheduled for a bail hearing Sunday morning.
Two other suspects were arrested earlier this month. Jacob Doucette, 35, of Toronto, was picked up on October 11 and charged with 12 theft counts, five counts of disguise with intent and seven counts of failing to comply with probation. Camille Dobson-Boire, 31, also of Toronto, was arrested the same day on nine theft counts, four counts of disguise with intent and 10 counts of disobeying a court order. Both appeared in bail court on October 12.
Police say two more suspects, Richard Hoskins and Charles Clarke, remain wanted. Charges against the accused have not been tested in court. Investigators are asking anyone with information to contact Toronto police or Crime Stoppers, and say the investigation remains active.
