Toronto's mayoral contest is tightening two weeks before election day. A Nanos survey of 757 Toronto residents, conducted October 8 to 10 for CP24 and CTV News Toronto, found 51 per cent of decided voters backing Olivia Chow and 47 per cent backing Brad Bradford.

That is a sharp change from the previous Nanos poll, which had Chow ahead by nearly 10 points among decided voters. The shift follows candidate Chris Alexander's decision last week to drop out of the race; he had been polling at about four per cent.

The regional picture is split. Chow is stronger in Toronto and East York, among women and among voters under 55, while Bradford leads in North York and does better with men and voters aged 55 and older. Scarborough and Etobicoke-York are close, and 17 per cent of voters overall say they remain undecided.

With advance voting now closed and election day set for Monday, October 26, the undecided share is large enough to decide the result in either direction.
