Advance voting has closed in Toronto with a notably higher turnout than recent municipal contests. The city says 222,550 eligible voters cast ballots over six days, ending Sunday, October 11 at 7 p.m.

The daily figures built through the week, from 36,743 voters on the opening Tuesday to a final-day surge of 53,363 on Sunday. By comparison, advance turnout was 115,911 in the 2022 municipal election and 129,745 in the 2023 mayoral by-election.

Election day is Monday, October 26, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. On that day voters must attend their assigned voting place, as shown on their voter information card or through the city's elections pages.

The city is directing voters online to check whether they are on the voters' list, find their assigned location, review acceptable identification and check accessibility information before election day.
