Toronto voters have one last chance to cast an early ballot on Sunday, as advance voting in the city's 2026 municipal election closes at 7 p.m. after a week of early polls.

The city has run 50 advance voting locations — two in each ward — with polls open from 10 a.m. Advance voters must cast their ballot in their home ward, and anyone in line when polls close is still entitled to vote.

Election day is Monday, October 26, with voting from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voters will elect a mayor, city councillors and school board trustees. To be eligible, a voter must be a Canadian citizen, at least 18 years old and a Toronto resident, and not legally prohibited from voting; non-residents who own or rent property in Toronto — or whose spouse does — may also vote in the election.

Vote-by-mail packages had to be returned to Toronto Elections by noon on Wednesday, October 14. Officials are urging anyone voting Sunday to bring acceptable identification and to check their assigned location before heading out.
