The Houston Texans are in control of the NFL's London finale. Houston leads the Jacksonville Jaguars 24-14 in the third quarter at Wembley Stadium on Sunday, with Jacksonville holding the ball midway through the quarter as it tries to close the gap.
The scoring has built steadily: Houston took the first quarter 7-0 — tight end Foster Moreau scored the game's first touchdown — Jacksonville answered by taking the second quarter 14-10, and Houston struck again in the third to stretch the margin to ten points. Conditions in London are patchy rain nearby, 58 degrees with a northerly wind.
The game is the final London fixture of the season in the league's international series, and it matters in the standings: the Texans and Jaguars are AFC South rivals, and the result will set the divisional pace before the rest of Sunday's Week 6 slate is played.
Still to come on Sunday: the Jets visit the Patriots, the Ravens visit the Browns, the Bears visit the Falcons, the Titans visit the Colts and the Saints visit the Giants in the early window, before the Cardinals-Rams, Chargers-Chiefs and Bills-Raiders games in the late window and the Cowboys at the Packers on Sunday night.
