HEICO Corporation said on October 13 that its co-chief executives and co-chairmen, Eric A. Mendelson and Victor H. Mendelson, received the Wright Brothers Memorial Award at the Greater Miami Aviation Association’s annual gala on October 10.
The association describes the award as its most prestigious, given to aviation and aerospace leaders whose work reflects innovation and perseverance. Past recipients have included airline and aerospace founders and former astronauts.
The brothers dedicated the honour to HEICO’s nearly 13,000 team members worldwide. The company is based in the Miami area, in Hollywood, Florida, and supplies parts and services across the aviation industry.
The recognition puts a Miami-area aerospace employer in the spotlight at a gala that draws much of South Florida’s aviation community each year.
