Seyi Vibez is having the week. His track "Back 2 U" reached No. 1 on Apple Music Nigeria for the first time, according to tooXclusive, becoming the fourth song from his SWAGUU album to top that chart, and it also logged a third day at No. 1 on Spotify Nigeria.
On Spotify Nigeria's daily chart, Blaqbonez and Asake's collaboration "IKEBE 3000" held the No. 1 spot for a third day, underlining Asake's continued run as one of the most bankable features in Afrobeats.
The week's biggest new arrival is "GODDESS," the Fireboy DML and Lojay collaboration released Friday as part of ZUKO!, Fireboy's fifth studio album. The 13-track project, released through YBNL Nation and EMPIRE, blends Afrobeats with dancehall and South African sounds and also features Masicka, JAZZWRLD and Thukuthela.
Together, the three records sketch the current shape of Nigerian pop: street-pop momentum from Seyi Vibez, a superstar link-up from Blaqbonez and Asake, and a polished Afro-R&B moment from Fireboy DML and Lojay.
