South Africa's streaming charts have a stubborn No. 1. "Nayvee's Prayer" by DJ Zinhle, Nayvee Womculo and Young Stunna holds the top spot on this week's combined South African chart, and on YouTube it reclaimed No. 1 from "Remember" with 2.3 million views this week.
"Remember" by Tman Xpress and Mellow & Sleazy holds at No. 2 — its 17th week on the YouTube chart — while "Ama hem hem" by Thatohatsi, Sjava and Shaunmusiq sits at No. 3.
The week's biggest story is further down: "Myeke" by Mshinwemali, featuring Sne Ntuli, leapt 59 places to No. 8 on YouTube in just its second week, and sits at No. 5 on Spotify. "Gumba Fire" by Focalistic and Optimist Music ZA, featuring Mr JazziQ, climbs into the top six, and "Distance" by FEZA, Lwah Ndlunkulu and MaWhoo holds No. 3 on YouTube.
The combined chart averages positions across Apple Music, Spotify and YouTube Music — a snapshot of a scene where amapiano's hit-making machine shows no sign of slowing.
