Lil Yachty has filed suit against his former booking agent, claiming the agent pocketed a $50,000 fee that was supposed to pay fellow rapper 42 Dugg for a guest feature, according to reporting on the filing Friday.

The complaint, filed in Los Angeles, alleges the money for the feature was routed through the agent and never reached its intended recipient — leaving Yachty to answer for a debt he says he had already funded.

Feature fees are the quiet currency of modern hip-hop, and disputes over who held the bag are common when informal arrangements meet five-figure sums. The filing seeks the return of the money and damages.

Neither the agent nor representatives for 42 Dugg had publicly responded to the allegations as of Friday evening. The claims have not been tested in court.
