Shares of the Elon Musk-led automaker rallied around 5 per cent in pre-market trading on October 16 as investors reacted to the launch of its second-generation Roadster, a car the company says uses rocket-thruster-style technology co-developed with SpaceX, with production aimed for 2028.
Netflix moved the other way, falling more than 3 per cent in pre-market trading after the company announced chief content officer Bela Bajaria will leave, a day after reports of plans to cut around 1,000 jobs. CoreWeave fell more than 5 per cent as higher US interest rates weighed on the indebted AI infrastructure firm, while earnings from Travelers and Citizens Financial were also in focus.
On the insider tape, screeners published this week flagged substantial recent insider buying at Karman Holdings, the US space and defence systems maker, and significant insider selling at Canada's Ensign Energy Services, which carries insider ownership of about 27 per cent.
