U.S. stock futures pointed to another divided session on Thursday, October 15, as selling in AI-linked shares deepened ahead of a heavy slate of economic data.

Nasdaq 100 futures dropped about 1.26 per cent and S&P 500 futures eased, while Dow futures edged higher. Nvidia, AMD and Micron were all lower before the bell, and CoreWeave slipped again after a steep Wednesday fall, as investors questioned the cost of financing the AI infrastructure boom. The pressure followed a 1.9 per cent Nasdaq decline on Wednesday after hotter inflation data revived fears of another Federal Reserve rate increase.

The next test arrives at 8:30 a.m. ET with September producer prices, retail sales, weekly jobless claims and regional manufacturing surveys. Economists expect headline producer prices to rise 0.6 per cent on the month. TSMC, meanwhile, reported record third-quarter profit, a bright spot investors weighed against the wider chip selloff.
