The Buffalo Bills survived a wild Monday night in Los Angeles, beating the Rams 37-34 in overtime on Tyler Bass's 45-yard field goal with two minutes left in the extra period.

Buffalo controlled the first half, leading 13-7 at the break on Bass field goals of 49 and 23 yards and a 17-yard James Cook touchdown run, against a single Rams score — Matthew Stafford's four-yard touchdown pass to Davante Adams. The defences dominated early, with the teams combining for just 270 yards before halftime.

The fourth quarter exploded. Los Angeles scored 20 points in the period, with Stafford finishing with 373 passing yards, Adams catching two touchdowns and Puka Nacua piling up catches all night. Cook's late touchdown put Buffalo up 34-27, but Kyren Williams plunged in from a yard out to tie the game 34-34 and send it to overtime.

In the extra period, Josh Allen used his legs to move Buffalo into range — scrambles of 19 and 13 yards on the winning drive — before Bass converted from 45 yards. The win lifts Buffalo to 4-1, while the Rams fall to 2-3.
