Asake and Seun Kuti have officially thrown their hats into the 2027 Grammy race, submitting a combined six works for consideration at the 69th Grammy Awards — with first-round voting set to run from October 12 to October 22.
Asake's entries include his 2026 album M$NEY, submitted for Album of the Year and Best Global Music Album, alongside "Gratitude," entered for Record of the Year and Song of the Year. Seun Kuti entered "Na Dem" and "Problems," targeting the Best African Music Performance category among others.
Nominees will be announced November 16, 2026. For Afrobeats — already one of the most dominant forces in global music — the confirmed submissions mark the genre's latest push for recognition on music's biggest stage.
