A new bridge between China and North Korea has finally opened, more than a decade after the project first made headlines, according to BBC World Service reporting.
The crossing had become a symbol of stalled cooperation between the two countries: a completed structure on one side that sat unused for years while relations and regional politics shifted around it.
Its opening is a notable development for trade and travel between the neighbours, whose economic ties have long run through a small number of border crossings.
Analysts will be watching how much traffic the new link actually carries, and whether it signals a broader warming in practical cooperation between Beijing and Pyongyang.
