Bob Dylan is coming back to Toronto. The 84-year-old songwriter has added three nights at Massey Hall — December 16, 17 and 19 — to his long-running Rough and Rowdy Ways tour, and general-sale tickets were released this morning.

Massey Hall, the 2,700-seat Ontario landmark on Victoria Street, is among the most storied rooms Dylan has played across six decades of touring, and the December stand is a rare chance to see him in a theatre rather than an arena.

The Rough and Rowdy Ways tour, named for his 2020 album, has been running in evolving legs since 2021, with setlists leaning on the late-career material alongside radically reworked classics.

Toronto is one of several Canadian stops on the winter leg, which also includes Hamilton, Oshawa, Kingston and the National Arts Centre in Ottawa — a proper Ontario theatre circuit for one of the most influential performers in popular music.
