Insider filings are giving investors two very different signals to watch. At education technology company Chegg, a director purchased 45,000 shares on October 12 at a weighted average price of about $1.59 — a disclosed open-market buy of roughly $71,500.

At software giant Adobe, the flow ran the other way: a director sold 1,350 shares on October 9 at a weighted average of about $333.63, worth approximately $450,400, trimming a still-substantial holding.

Analysts treat insider transactions as one data point among many: purchases can signal confidence, while sales often reflect diversification or planned selling. Neither, on its own, predicts a stock's direction.
