Visitors to South Africa's Kruger National Park will soon eat at different restaurants. Tourvest and Famous Brands have secured all four new 15-year concessions for the park, according to News24 reporting.
The winning bids use safari-style brands, and they beat familiar names that had bid for the work. Long-standing outlets associated with the park's rest camps are set to make way under the new arrangements.
Concessions inside national parks are closely watched in South Africa, where tourism is a major employer and Kruger is one of the country's flagship destinations for local and international visitors.
The shake-up will roll out across the park's main camps. Travellers planning Kruger trips in the coming seasons should expect new menus and branding at camp restaurants as the new operators take over.
