Nick Hakim takes the stage at the Troubadour in Los Angeles tonight for the second of two back-to-back nights, part of his first major North American headline tour behind the new album "I Can See."

Initially conceived from bedroom demos and fully realized at Sonic Ranch in Tornillo, Texas, and studios in New York City, the album was made with longtime collaborators including Andrew Sarlo (Dijon, Bon Iver) and mastered by Heba Kadry (Bjork, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Gorillaz). The tour has already rolled through Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Brooklyn, Boston, Montreal and Toronto, with a Vancouver date at the Hollywood Theatre last week.

After tonight, Hakim heads to London's Village Underground on Oct. 28, with UK dates in Dublin, Manchester, Glasgow, Leeds, Bristol and Birmingham through Nov. 7, then Amsterdam, Hamburg, Berlin, Paris and Antwerp. For Los Angeles fans, tonight is the last chance to catch the intimate run before it crosses the Atlantic.
