Aerosmith will return to the stage for two special concerts at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on October 29 and November 1, billed as California, Dream On: Aerosmith & Friends.
The all-star lineup spans rock, country, hip-hop and alternative music: The Black Crowes, RUN DMC, Heart, Billy Idol, Eric Church, Sammy Hagar and Tom Morello are among the announced guests, along with Guns N' Roses members Slash and Duff McKagan and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith. Don Was serves as music director, and organizers say the lineup will vary between the two nights.
The shows mark a notable return for the band, which announced its retirement from touring in August 2024 after frontman Steven Tyler suffered a vocal injury from which a full recovery was judged impossible.
The concerts celebrate more than five decades of Aerosmith's catalogue, from Dream On and Sweet Emotion to Walk This Way. Fans should check the Hollywood Bowl and promoter pages for the final nightly lineups, which may only be confirmed near showtime.
