Wladimir Klitschko has been granted temporary guardianship over the estate of his late ex-fiancée, actress Hayden Panettiere, TMZ reported Thursday.
The couple's 11-year-old daughter, Kaya, appeared remotely during the hearing about Panettiere's estate. Klitschko himself was not visible on camera, but Kaya briefly appeared and answered the judge's questions about her identity and whether she was with her father, according to PEOPLE.
Reports say the girl appeared composed throughout the brief appearance, wearing a white T-shirt with her hair pulled back, as the court moved to put temporary legal protections in place around the late actress's affairs.
Panettiere, known for roles in "Heroes" and "Nashville," died earlier this month. Klitschko, the Ukrainian former world heavyweight boxing champion, filed the urgent petition in Los Angeles County court seeking to safeguard their daughter's inheritance, with TMZ first reporting the legal action earlier this week.
