Billionaire Ken Griffin has increased his donation to Baptist Health South Florida by $25 million, bringing his total gift to the nonprofit hospital system to $75 million, according to Miami Herald reporting.

Griffin first announced a $50 million donation to Baptist Health in 2024 to support neurological care. The additional $25 million was announced as the nonprofit broke ground on a new neuroscience facility, cementing one of the largest single philanthropic commitments to health care in South Florida history.

The gift extends Griffin's growing footprint in the region's medical landscape. In 2023 he gave $25 million to Nicklaus Children's Hospital in Miami, funding a surgical tower bearing his name that supports pediatric cancer, neurology and blood-disorder care.

Large gifts to hospital systems have become a hallmark of Griffin's philanthropy, spanning health care and higher education. The Baptist Health expansion adds momentum to South Florida's push to become a national hub for advanced neurological treatment and research.
