Dak Prescott found CeeDee Lamb for a 12-yard touchdown with 40 seconds on the clock, and just like that a 16-6 halftime disaster became a 34-30 Dallas Cowboys comeback win in Houston on Sunday. The 11-play, 74-yard final drive silenced the Reliant Stadium crowd and kept the Cowboys' season rolling.

Lamb was unguardable. The star receiver hauled in a career-high 17 catches for 189 yards — the second-most receptions in a game in franchise history, behind only Jason Witten's 18 in 2012 — and passed Drew Pearson for fourth on the club's all-time receiving-yards list. Prescott finished 32 of 45 for 335 yards with no interceptions, and Dallas scored 28 points after halftime.

The second-half surge was a team effort: Javonte Williams rumbled in three rushing touchdowns, a career high, as the offensive line took over late. Houston, despite C.J. Stroud's 347 passing yards and two touchdowns and Nico Collins' 118-yard return game, dropped to 0-4 for the first time since 2020 — undone in part by 13 penalties for 90 yards at the worst possible moments.

The win is the kind that defines a season in October: a road division(ish) dogfight, a career night from your best player, and a quarterback who refused to flinch. The Texans, meanwhile, face the coldest start in years and a week of hard questions.
