LONDON — CHVRCHES are back. The Scottish trio have announced a new album, 'All the King's Men' — their first in more than five years — arriving January 22, alongside a 2026–27 tour that starts in intimate rooms and scales up to theatres on two continents.
The tour opens at home: Glasgow's Assumption Studios on October 26, then a London date at St Matthias Church on October 29 — a church-room show a world away from the arenas the band's choruses were built for. North America follows quickly, with West Hollywood's Troubadour on November 16 and a Corona Capital slot in Mexico City on November 20.
The 2027 leg is the full theatre run: Philadelphia's Franklin Music Hall on February 13, Brooklyn Steel in New York on February 17, Washington's Anthem, Chicago's Salt Shed, and a West Coast swing that ends at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles on March 14, before a UK and Ireland return in April and May that closes at London's O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire on May 6.
The announcement ends one of the longer silences in modern synth-pop. A band that defined a strain of 2010s electronic pop returning with a January album and a church-to-palladium tour arc is exactly the kind of comeback story the 2027 concert calendar will be measured against.
