Four stadium dates are off the R&B Tour calendar. Chris Brown and Usher have cancelled their shows in Baltimore on October 17, Cincinnati on October 24, Columbia, South Carolina on October 29 and Indianapolis on October 31, according to reporting by Just Jared, Billboard and local outlets.
Ticket holders were told the promoter made the decision to prioritise the health and well-being of the touring party and crew after an extensive run of sold-out stadium shows, and that the break would let the tour continue through its remaining dates. The tour is scheduled to resume in Atlanta on November 5.
The cancellations come just before a major court date for Brown. He is due at Southwark Crown Court in London on October 26 for sentencing after pleading guilty in July to affray over a February 2023 nightclub incident; the charge carries a maximum of three years in prison.
Fans with tickets to the cancelled shows were told by Ticketmaster that refunds would be issued, reported within about three weeks. The pair launched the co-headlining tour in June with a three-hour show spanning more than 50 songs.
