Canadian voters are in the middle of one of the busiest election stretches in recent memory, and for the first time they can stream the results shows free: Bell Media announced that five live CTV News election-night specials over the next two weeks will stream on Crave with a free account, as well as on CTVNews.ca and the CTV News app.
The run starts Saturday, October 17, with the B.C. municipal election — voters in Vancouver and municipalities across British Columbia go to the polls — at 8 p.m. PT. On Monday, October 19, attention shifts to Alberta and its provincial referendum, with former premiers Rachel Notley and Jason Kenney on CTV's expert panel.
After that comes an early B.C. provincial election on Saturday, October 24 — called two years ahead of schedule, one week after the municipal vote — then CP24's 'Toronto Decides' election-night special on Monday, October 26, when Toronto elects its mayor, and Manitoba's municipal election on Wednesday, October 28.
Former B.C. premier Christy Clark joins the B.C. election panel, and select specials also air locally on CTV and CP24.
For voters, the practical point is simple: check your local poll hours and identification rules this weekend, whether you are voting in Vancouver, in Alberta's referendum, or ahead of Toronto's October 26 mayoral vote.
