Investors building their stocks-to-watch lists for the next 24 hours are looking at a lopsided insider tape. The latest weekend recap of SEC Form 4 disclosures counted 17 insider sales against just 5 purchases, led by a block sale at Medline (MDLN) worth $274.8 million by a director-level institutional shareholder.

The selling had a biotech and pharma flavour. Protagonist Therapeutics (PTGX) saw its chief financial officer sell about $8.3 million of stock; Gilead Sciences (GILD) chairman and CEO Daniel O'Day sold about $2.2 million; an ON Semiconductor (ON) group president sold about $1.25 million; and Clover Health (CLOV) CEO sold 318,806 shares worth roughly $1.3 million. The recap also flagged selling clusters at Maze Therapeutics and Atex, and in tech names including PagerDuty, Extreme Networks and Dropbox.

The buy side was smaller but pointed. At Pedevco (PED), a director and 10 per cent owner bought about $1.91 million of stock on the open market — the weekend's largest insider purchase. A 10 per cent owner-director at Gold.com (GOLD), tied to Tether Global, bought about $1.28 million, and a director and 10 per cent owner at First Guaranty Bancshares (FGBI) bought about $822,000.

Insider filings are disclosures, not signals with a guaranteed meaning: executives sell for many reasons, from tax planning to diversification, and a single block sale can reflect an institution rebalancing rather than a view on a company. OTMedia reports these filings as market news only — nothing here is a tip or advice to trade.
