Berkshire Hathaway keeps adding to its bet on Lennar. In an SEC Form 4 filing, the conglomerate disclosed it bought 1,708,095 shares of the homebuilder (NYSE: LEN) on Friday, October 2, at an average price of $79.44 — a purchase worth roughly $135.7 million that increased its position by 6.39 percent.

The latest buy is part of a steady accumulation: the filings also show purchases on September 25 (492,124 shares), September 28 (5,200), September 29 (12,389), September 30 (642,821) and October 1 (710,542). Berkshire now holds 28,438,045 Lennar shares, a stake valued at about $2.26 billion.

Lennar is one of the nation's largest homebuilders, and the continued buying signals sustained confidence from Warren Buffett's company in the residential construction sector.
