Nigerian singer Ayra Starr made history on Sunday, becoming the first African artist to headline an NFL International Game halftime show.
The 24-year-old performed at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London during the game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Jacksonville Jaguars, before a crowd reported at a London NFL record 61,322.
Her set opened with 'Heaven Baby,' her collaboration with ZAYN, and included 'Santa,' 'Hot Body,' 'Rush' and 'Dangerous,' along with tracks from her new album Starrgirl, released in August 2026.
The performance was part of the NFL's expanded 2026 international entertainment programme, which features seven halftime shows across seven countries and four continents, presented by American Express. Starr was announced as headliner in August. The league has cited her reach — more than seven billion global streams and one billion YouTube views since her 2021 debut, alongside Grammy nominations, a BET Award win and a Glastonbury performance.
