This week's Afrobeats rotation is led by Seyi Vibez. His track 'El Jaja', from the chart-running project SWAGUU, tops a new Top 10 Afrobeats songs list published this week, praised for its street-inspired storytelling and melodic delivery.
FOLA's '2am in toronto', featuring Davido, is among the week's most talked-about African releases, a meditative, hook-led record highlighted in OkayAfrica's weekly round-up of the African music you need to hear.
South African sounds run through the list as well. Fireboy DML's 'IMALI' features JAZZWRLD and Thukuthela, while the Bokani Dyer Trio's Traditions represents South African jazz, and Usimamane's 'Press' features Blxckie.
October's Afrobeats DJ mixes round out the picture, with Young Jonn on this month's cover and tracks from Fido, Tekno, BNXN, Kizz Daniel and Seyi Vibez keeping the new-music pipeline full heading into the weekend.
