Canada is taking its energy pitch to London. Tim Hodgson, the federal Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, is in the British capital on October 19 and 20 for official meetings and events, according to a Government of Canada advisory.
Hodgson will deliver opening remarks and join a fireside chat at Canada House alongside Jonathan Price, president and CEO of Teck, on Monday afternoon London time. On Tuesday he is scheduled for a keynote interview at the Energy Transition Summit 2026, moderated by the Financial Times’ energy editor, Malcolm Moore.
The trip comes as Ottawa courts European capital and buyers for Canadian energy and critical minerals, positioning Canada as a stable supplier at a moment when European governments are still reordering their energy relationships.
Accredited media were asked to pre-register for both events. The London stop is the latest in a series of European engagements by Canadian ministers aimed at turning resource wealth into signed partnerships.
