Apple is heading back to Los Angeles. The company said on Monday it will host a “Pro and tell” event in Los Angeles on October 28, the latest in a series of product launches as the iPhone maker expands its hardware lineup and AI offerings, Reuters reported.
The event is expected to feature Apple’s first touch-screen MacBook Pro, according to Bloomberg News — a long-awaited change to a Mac lineup that has resisted touch for decades while the iPad absorbed that role. Any such machine would land at the centre of Apple’s artificial intelligence pitch for professional users.
The Los Angeles date follows a crowded fall: September’s launch of the Duo foldable iPhone and last week’s unveiling of the HomeView smart-home hub and other Siri-powered home devices. Analysts say chief executive John Ternus is moving to speed up product development and simplify the company’s structure.
Apple typically reserves June for its software-focused developers conference and the fall for hardware. An October 28 Los Angeles stage suggests the company wants the professional Mac story told on its own — with AI, not the iPhone, as the headline.
