LONDON — Olamide is taking his catalogue to one of the world's biggest indoor stages. The Nigerian rap star has set a March 2027 date for London's O2 Arena, Nigerian entertainment outlets reported on Tuesday, October 20.
The O2 booking is a milestone marker in Afrobeats' long London story: the Greenwich arena, with a capacity around 20,000, is the room Nigerian headliners have used to prove arena-scale demand in the UK market. Olamide — founder of the YBNL label and one of the defining voices of Nigerian street-pop — now joins that list with a date of his own.
The announcement adds to a busy international calendar for Nigerian music, with arena and stadium dates across London, New York and Los Angeles stacking up into 2027. Promoters have increasingly treated London as Afrobeats' second home market, where diaspora audiences and mainstream crossover crowds meet.
Ticket details for the March 2027 show are expected from the promoter and the venue. Fans are advised to buy only through official O2 and promoter channels when sales open, as resale listings for newly announced arena dates routinely appear before official on-sales.
